‘How to Lose’ is a big winner to us

“How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” is a definite must-see! It’s such a perfect mix of comedy and romance that your boyfriend may actually enjoy it. So for those who haven’t heard the buzz over this one, the storyline is as follows: a young fashion magazine writer named Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson), at a loss for a story, comes up with the article “How to lose a guy in 10 days.” She decides to find a guy, Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey), and date him for ten days, doing everything a woman shouldn’t when pursuing a man.

McConaughey has some tricks of his own, making a bet that he can date a girl and get her to fall in love with him before the premiere of a new advertising campaign for a client. If he succeeds, he will snag the big advertising contract. While the two are dating, it becomes obvious that it’s not just a bet anymore —guards are let down, masks taken off and the rest, well, you’ll have to go find out for yourself.

Not your typical recycled romance, the storyline is unique with twists and turns that’ll have you on a roller coaster ride of laughs and emotions. It is a 2003 “When Harry Met Sally,” updated and twisted a bit with a little more gaming and beguiling and lots more laughs. It’s so fast-paced and humorous that you’ll enjoy every minute, and I would go so far as to say you’ll want to see it again! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you might even identify some of the wacky not-to-do’s with some of your infamous exes. So grab a friend — maybe even a boyfriend — and find out “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.”
