Chi Omega bowls for wishes

Christina Miller

Chi Omega sorority hosts their annual philanthropy event, Rock ‘N Bowl, at Devon Bowling Lanes on Nov. 5th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizations from all over campus are invited to participate in this event.

Teams of five to seven people show their spirit by dressing in costume. Prizes, including gift certificates to local restaurants and business, are given to the best-dressed, most-spirited and highest-scoring teams.

“Rock ‘N Bowl is a fabulous event,” senior Kelly Kingston of Pi Beta Phi said. “It is definitely my favorite charity event on campus.”

Rock ‘N Bowl is Chi Omega’s largest event. It raises money for the nationally recognized Make-A-Wish Foundation. Three years ago, Chi Omega adopted Make-A-Wish Foundation as its official charity.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization that fulfills the wishes of children who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses.

It’s the largest wish-granting organization in the world, granting more than 97,000 wishes.
