For the past three years, Maria Getty has been a solid contributor to the women’s basketball team. At the end of last season, Getty earned recognition at the annual team banquet for her outstanding defensive efforts, in addition to All-Academic Team and Second Team Big Five honors. This year, the senior guard takes on a leadership role as the ‘Cats look to continue the success of last season, which culminated in a trip to the NCAA tournament.
