Dear NOVAdance,

Each spring, the Villanova community comes together to host a 12-hour dance marathon, which celebrates the year-long fundraising efforts for the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation through Villanova’s B+ chapter, NOVAdance. Connecting B+ Heroes to the Villanova community, raising money and awareness for pediatric cancer and sharing their “Whys” is only part of why members of committee choose to become involved.

NOVAdance does more than fundraise money for families and children. It creates a family of individuals from all paths who come together under one common cause. But who better to explain this feeling than senior members of the NOVAdance committee themselves?

Dear NOVAdance,

Over the past four years, NOVAdance has shown me what it looks like when a community comes together with real purpose, heart and drive in support of something bigger than themselves. It has been incredible to watch so many students and supporters rally around the B+ Heroes and their families with so much love and energy.

NOVAdance has taught me about leadership, service and the power of showing up with something as simple as a smile. More than anything, it has reminded me that the impact we make is rooted in genuine care for each other as human beings.

NOVAdance has given me so many reasons why. The cause, the people and our heroes are all reasons I will never forget my experience with NOVAdance at Villanova. I joined my freshman year, hoping to find a sense of community, and I’m leaving with family.
