Villanova University announced that its campus will be closed on Monday, Feb. 23, due to inclement weather.
All undergraduate in-person classes and activities are canceled, per the University’s policy. In-person graduate classes can still be offered remotely at each professor’s discretion. All essential employees are still required to report to work. Only select dining halls will open for operations.
“VU Weather Alert: Due to the weather, Villanova University will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026,” the alert stated. “Please see the website for details about the classes and operations.”
The University is set to return to normal operations on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the time of this publication.
The University publicly announced its decision to close the campus on Monday morning just before 5 a.m., through its NOVA Alert system and website.
Villanova Dining services announced Dougherty Dining Hall (main campus) and The Court at Donahue (south campus) operated on an alternate schedule, opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 8 p.m. St. Mary’s Dining Hall on west campus will open at 10:30 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Retail food locations will open if staffing permits and they all close at 8:00 pm. Nova Noodle Company and V Sushi in the Connelly Center will operate on their regular schedule from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Daily Mass in Corr Chapel will not take place on Monday, due to the campus closure.
All University fitness centers – Davis, Farley, McGuinn and Stanford – will be closed.
DoorDash announced on Sunday, Feb. 22, that it was suspending its services in Philadelphia and New Jersey because of the weather, which includes Villanova. The company did not say when it would resume service and deliveries.
The Villanovan will continue to share updates and information on the closure throughout the day.
This is the second time the University has closed due to snow this school year.
