On Friday, June 27, Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress reported that guard Wooga Poplar has agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with the Chicago Bulls.
Although no Villanova players heard their names called at this year’s NBA Draft on June 25 and 26, two have now signed contracts to pursue professional basketball careers. Poplar’s decision follows the announcement of forward Eric Dixon’s two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
An Exhibit-10 contract is a path for exceptional college players who go undrafted to potentially continue their careers in the NBA. Exhibit-10 is a one-year minimum salary contract that is not guaranteed. Players compete for the opportunity to convert the Exhibit-10 contract to a two-way contract and eventually an NBA contract. Those who spend at least 60 days in the G-League can also earn a bonus of up to $75,000.
In his only season at Villanova, Poplar was the team’s second-leading scorer and top rebounder, averaging 15.3 points, 7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in 2024-25.
The 6-foot-5 Philadelphia native surged in the postseason, averaging 22 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the Big East Tournament and the College Basketball Crown. He finished the season with Third Team All-Big East honors.
Poplar spent his first three seasons at the University of Miami, a four-star high school recruit out of Math, Civics, and Sciences Charter School in Philadelphia. He earned a starting position as a sophomore during the Hurricanes’ Final Four run in 2022-23. In his junior season, Poplar averaged 13.1 points and 4.8 rebounds while starting in all 29 games he appeared in for Miami.
After graduating from Villanova, Poplar excelled in the 2025 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, an NBA pre-draft camp, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
The Exhibit-10 contract will allow Poplar to compete in the NBA Summer League.
The 2025 NBA Summer League, which allows all 30 NBA teams to experiment with their rosters, kicks off on July 10 and ends on July 20 in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
