Former Villanova Wildcat Jordan Longino has joined the Houston Rockets’ NBA Summer League roster.
The Rockets announced their finalized Summer League roster on Monday, July 7. The roster also included former Wildcat and current Rocket Jermaine Samuels Jr.
In his final season at Villanova, Longino started in all 36 games, averaging 11.1 points, 2.4 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game. He shot 43.9% from the field and 34.8% from beyond the arc.
Longino spent all four years of his college eligibility at Villanova. In his freshman season, he was a part of the Wildcats’ Final Four run with former head coach Jay Wright.
After the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, Longino entered the NCAA transfer portal without having any remaining eligibility. His teammate Enoch Boakye took the same route. Boakye joined the Calgary Surge, a Canadian professional team in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
Now, Longino is joining a list of other former Wildcats in the 2025 NBA Summer League. He is the third Wildcat from this past season’s roster to sign a deal with an NBA team. Eric Dixon signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers as an undrafted free agent immediately following the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft. Wooga Poplar recently signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Chicago Bulls.
The Rockets’ Summer League schedule tips off at home on Friday, July 11, against the Los Angeles Clippers (NBA TV, 10 p.m. EST).
Contract details have not been specified.
