The column on sub-standard workout facilities at Villanova compared the University to taxpayer supported schools in Virginia and Maryland. The evaluation of VU’s facilities was on the scene; the evaluation of the other two was via the web. No school’s facilities are a dog on the web. And, if you’ve got taxpayers helping to buy the stuff, you’ve potentially got a bigger budget. I’m not excusing Villanova for lame facilities, just pointing out why others MIGHT have better.
