Villanova completed its roster for the 2024-2025 season, picking up Alabama transfer guard Kris Parker on Tuesday, August 6.
By mid-June, head coach Kyle Neptune had filled out all roster spots except one. Now, after a quiet summer, Neptune locked in his final piece.
Parker, a former four-star recruit, redshirted his freshman year at Alabama and retained all four years of his eligibility. The 6-foot-9 guard averaged 24.8 points and 14.2 rebounds per game in his final high school season at Crossroad Academy.
Villanova was one of the final four schools that he considered in his commitment process. Other schools included the University of Central Florida, Missouri and Alabama.
Parker flashed his quickness, driving abilities and solid perimeter shooting in high school. Parker is also a reliable defender capable of guarding multiple positions on the floor.
Parker told on3.com during his recruitment process in 2023 that Villanova is “a great school with a winning tradition. The atmosphere and culture are unmatched.”
