On Wednesday, May 7, Villanova transfer forward Kris Parker announced on his Instagram account that he was transferring to the University of Central Florida.
The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS on X (formerly known as Twitter).
He originally announced he was entering the transfer portal on April 8.
Parker, a redshirt freshman, played in 27 games off the bench for the Wildcats this past 2024-25 season. He averaged 2.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 10 minutes per game.
His collegiate career started at Alabama, where he redshirted his true freshman year and did not see any playing time. Parker was ranked a three-star recruit out of Crossroad Academy (FL) by 247Sports.
Parker was a consistent piece in Villanova’s rotation this past season. However, in the second half of the season, his role diminished, and he only made six appearances in the months of February, March, and April.
This offseason, eight Wildcats, including Parker, entered their names into the transfer portal. It now leaves only three returners for the 2025-26 season: rising junior guard Tyler Perkins, rising redshirt freshman forward Matthew Hodge, and senior walk-on Wade Chiddick.
With Parker’s decision made, there are only three Wildcats without new homes, one being rising redshirt sophomore Jordann Dumont.
The other two are rising fifth-year Enoch Boakye and rising fifth-year Jordan Longino. Currently, the pair is out of eligibility, but with their names in the transfer portal, they will attempt to receive a waiver from the NCAA to play another season of college basketball.
