Mosher Awarded Respect Life Award

Steve Mosher, president of Population Research Institute (PRI), was awarded the annual Villanovans for Life (VFL) Respect Life Award for 2002.

The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the defense of human life. Past recipients of the award include Congressman Henry Hyde (R-6-IL), Dr. Charles Rice of Notre Dame University and John Cardinal O’Connor.

The awards ceremony took place on Sunday, April 21st, 2002 at the Connolly Center at Villanova University, in Villanova, PA. Over 200 Villanovans for Life and faculty members from Villanova University attended the event.

“Population Research Institute and its President, Steven Mosher, are well known for their work on behalf of the unborn, both in the U.S. and around the world,” said Matte Radu of Villanovans for Life. “PRI’s recent investigation in China has led President Bush to put a hold on $34 million intended for the U.N. Population Fund, the very people who are supporting forced abortion and sterilization in that country. We wanted to publicly recognize the vital role that they play in the pro-life movement, both around the world and in Washington, D.C.”

“I am very honored to accept this award on behalf of myself and my colleagues at the Population Research Institute. It is past time to end the war on population that has cost the lives of so many women and babies, and with the support of people at Villanova University and elsewhere we are moving towards this goal.”

Villanovans for Life is a campus pro-life ministry that was founded in 1973. VFL is committed to pro-life education, activism, politics, and alternatives (crisis pregnancy centers) both on campus and off. It is the longest running pro-life group in the area and will continue to grant a voice to the voiceless until child-killing ends in the US.

PRI is one of the most effective and fastest growing pro-life organizations in the nations.
