FirstGlance Film Festival to Open with Philly Premieres

Local Filmmakers Named Finalists

Philadelphia, PA, May 1, 2003 – FirstGlance Film Festival is proud to announce the

programming for the sixth annual independent film festival being held on Friday, June 6, 2003

to Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Prince Music Theater’s Cinema Lounge, The Sharon

Pinkenson Project, 1412 Chestnut Street at Broad Street. Doors open 5:45 p.m. on Friday

and 11:45 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

William Ostroff, Festival Director, said, “With over 450 entries previewed, we are proud to

exhibit the top projects in each category.” The weekend promises the Philly premieres of several

projects, reflecting the festivals’ commitment to promoting local independent filmmaking.

FirstGlance is the first festival to offer the audience the chance to vote for the festival

winners. Winners of the Philadelphia festival will be showcased at the FirstGlance 4 Los Angeles

festival in November.
