I think that the ‘not all BMW’s and Prada’ editorial misguided. Although he points to various cases of altruism, it is easy to shell out enormous sums of money when it comes from their daddies’ bottomless checking account.

The real spirit of Christmas is about true giving not just throwing a dog a bone. Considering the economic inequalities on campus and nationwide, I would argue that very few participate fully in the Christmas spirit. If you do feel like giving to affect change, might I suggest donating to Howard Dean for America?
