African American Heritage Month

[email protected]

The SGA Diversity Committee would like to remind the Villanova community that February is African American Heritage Month. Even though people of African descent in this country have faced innumerable cases of disenfranchisement, oppression, and the most virulent forms of racism, they have managed to enrich this nation greatly with inventions as vital as the blood bank and the pacemaker and with great minds such as W.E.B. Du Bois and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The SGA Diversity Committee is determined to support all students on this campus, especially those who are maligned or misunderstood by the mainstream. It is our belief that in furthering the cause of diversity here at Villanova, we will better be able to enrich the hearts and minds of all members of this community.
