Caroline Gulde Unleashes the ARTIVA Within at The Manhattan Room on May 10th

May 2, 2005New York, New York

As a Boston native, 22 year old Caroline Gulde grew up on a steady diet of Rock. Caroline is a self-proclaimed ARTIVA- the ideal blend of tortured songwriter and vocal diva. Caroline’s music is edgy, “hooky” rock that radiates a vivacious, warm energy and is delivered with power and sass. With a lot of rock, a little bit of pop and a lot of emotion, Caroline manages to cross over genres into a sound all her own. As stated by J.P. Kline on Garageband.com, “Caroline has something primal to her voice…like auditory pheromones…made me want to listen, but I felt ashamed of myself for doing so. I’m not religious, but now I feel I need to attend confession!”

Caroline Gulde is going to be a star. A silly, quirky, creative 22 year old girl with a gift for singing and songwriting, Caroline brings life to everything she touches. Her performances are sophisticated with a playful edge; her energy is relentless and her clear, strong vocals are unmatched. “Her voice soars and sasses away until the listener has gone on an emotional journey with [her],” raves C.D. DiGuardia of Performer Magazine. Caroline has been described as a combination of Alanis and Avril. Her performance style has been compared to the likes of Shirley Manson and Gwen Stefani. She is backed by a four-piece male band and female backup vocalist, each lending his/her pro abilities and good looks to the polished, tantalizing dynamic of Caroline’s live show.

Caroline’s single, Tired Again, off her new EP Best of Me (2004 Tainted Blue Productions), has been spun on Radio Boston, The River 92.5 FM. The song has also won her Best Female Pop-Rock Vocalist of All Time on the acclaimed industry web site, Garageband.com and rave reviews in Performer Magazine.

Head to the The Manhattan Room (15 W. Girard Ave) on Tuesday, May 10th to check out Caroline Gulde with JJ Appleton and Desoto Rust. Doors at 8pm. For more information on Caroline or to request a press pass for 5/21, please call Katie Rey at 508.254.3922.
