Gentlefolk:

Joe Mordini’s otherwise fine profile of Frank McCourt in the Sept. 20 edition contains one unfortunate factual error.

Stuyvesant High School, where McCourt taught for more than two decades is not in his native borough of Brooklyn but in Manhattan. Bedford Stuyvesant is a section of Brooklyn, but does not have a high school named after it.
