FirstGlance 8 Philadelphia Announces Call for Entries
Philadelphia, PA, October 18, 2004 – FirstGlance 8, Philadelphia’s first and only truly independent, bi-coastal
film festival is currently accepting submissions of independent features, shorts and shorts too (under 10 minutes),
mini-docs (under 30 minutes), and student directed projects for their 2005 festival taking place in Philadelphia on
May 11 – 15, 2005 at the Painted Bride Art Center, 230 Vine Street. Winners in each category at the Philadelphia
festival will be showcased at the Hollywood festival in December 2005. FirstGlance is also accepting submissions
for its 2nd annual Short Screenplay Competition. Screenplays must be 20 pages or shorter. The Grand Prize
Winner will have their screenplay co-produced by FirstGlance in either Hollywood or Philadelphia. Once
complete, the short film is premiered at FirstGlance Film Festivals and online.
