The Brooklyn Mt. Zion Prep guard originally had committed to Maryland on Oct. 2, but decommitted after Villanova head coach Kevin Willard left his role at Maryland.
Jeffrey, a 6-3, 200-pound guard, averaged 14 points, five rebounds and five assists per game while playing in the Elite Youth Basketball League circuit with Mt. Zion Prep.
Jeffrey was the first recruit to follow Willard from Maryland to the Main Line.
Shortly after, former Maryland guard Malachi Palmer announced his own commitment to Villanova. Maryland guard Rodney Rice is still looking for new schools after entering the transfer portal.
As of April 6, Villanova has seven roster spots still open. Seven of the current openings include Villanova’s 2024-2025 starting five who were formerly, Eric Dixon, Jordan Longino, Wooga Poplar, Jhamir Brickus and Enoch Boayke.
