The Big East released its 2023-24 men’s basketball schedule Friday afternoon. Villanova will play 20 Big East conference games, the first of which comes at Creighton on Dec. 20. The ‘Cats will play 31 games total, starting their season Nov. 6 at the Finneran Pavilion against American.

The marquee in-conference matchup is with defending national champions UConn. The ‘Cats get the Huskies at Wells Fargo Center first, with the game scheduled for Jan. 20 in South Philadelphia. Villanova will then make the trip to either Storrs or Hartford for a contest on Feb. 24.

The ‘Cats will play four conference games at the Wells Fargo Center, including the aforementioned UConn game. The other games come against Providence on Feb. 4, Seton Hall on Feb. 11 and Creighton on March 9 to close out the regular season. With the inclusion of the Big Five Classic on Dec. 2 and the game scheduled against UCLA on Dec. 9, the ‘Cats will play six games at the Wells Fargo Center.

The other six conference home games will be played at the Finneran Pavilion. Georgetown under new head coach Ed Cooley will be the last home game at the Finneran Pavilion on Feb. 27.
