Paws for Wellness

P.O.W.E.R (Peers Offering Wellness Education & Resources) is Nova’s home to peer education on campus. We are located in the Center for Health and Wellness Education on the first floor of the Health Services Building.

There are currently two existing groups, P.A.S.S. (Peers Advocating Substance Safety) and S.O.S. (Sexual Offense Support.)

We are thrilled to add a new group to the mix called S.W.A.T. (Sexual Wellness Advocacy Team.)

At Villanova, there are currently no groups providing information on sexual health. We plan on providing information so that Villanova students are equipped to make better decisions in their relationships.

To provide programming about sexual health, the new S.W.A.T. peers will complete a thirty plus hour training on issues like STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections), HIV/AIDS, and more. P.O.W.E.R. is currently recruiting Villanova students to apply for S.W.A.T. membership now! Pick up an application in the Center for Health and Wellness Education or online at www.villanova.edu/healthandwellness. All applications are due by March 26.

All students are also invited to attend the Open House on March 15th at 7:00 p.m. in Room 200 of the Health Services Building.
