In this episode, Claire and Sophie sit down with Dr. Louise Fitzpatrick, Dean of the College of Nursing since 1978, and learn about the history of the college and the first women students. Then they talk to Dr. Rosalie Mirenda, Class of 1959, about the Villanova pie shop and what it was like being in one of the first female graduating classes. Finally, they discuss female faculty and the push for diversity on campus with Dr. Barbara Wall, who started teaching Philosophy at Villanova two years after women were admitted fully to the University.
