Editorial: Exercising healthy habits

In the midst of Healthy NOVA Week, we thought it important to highlight some of the resources and services available to students on campus. This weekend, Live Free Weekend, will give students the opportunity to live free of alcohol and other substances. Campus dining halls will be stocked with healthy eating options and various discussions, panels and fitness sessions will be held.

We’re stoked to have events like Healthy NOVA Week and Live Free Weekend. They are of best use when students take away what they learn from these useful discussions and apply it to their lifestyle even after the week ends. College students lead stressful lives, trying to balance clubs, sports, academics and a social life and too often, physical and mental health are pushed to the bottom priority. Take this week as a reminder that there is no shame in prioritizing your own wellness.
