After two days of competing, Villanova men’s track and field finished 17th at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York City over the weekend. The women’s team also finished 17th over three days of competition. 

On Thursday, Jan. 23, Liv Morgan finished seventh in Pentathlon, finishing fifth in hurdles, eighth in high jump, second in shot put, ninth in long jump, and eighth in the 800 meters.

On Friday, Trudy Ann-Williamson finished in third place in the 60 meters with a time of 7.39. Sarah Jones and Jada Thomas finished 13th and 14th, respectively, in the 60 meter hurdles, while Gloria Donou finished 32nd in the long jump. Overall, the women finished tied for 12th on the second day. 

Over on the men’s side, Michael Troup finished 36th in the 60 meters and 11th in long jump. Malik Cunningham finished second in triple jump with a mark of 6.91 meters. Billy Loewen and Chika Nwachukwu finish 16th and 21st in the shot put. The men finished 12th on Friday. 

On Saturday, Richie Bush and Amir Brock finished 18th and 42nd in the 200 meters. In the 400, Anthony Brodie finished ninth and Keegan Hughes finished 10th, while Konrad Bayer and Dan Powers finished 36th and 42nd, respectively. In the 4×400-meter relay, Villanova finished eighth with Bush, Bayer, Hughes and Brodie. Finally, in the Weight Throw, Jadyn Anczarski finished 20th, Loewen finished 24th and Nwachukwu finished 26th. The men finished 17th with ten points on Saturday. 

On the same day, the women finished up their competition. In the 200 meters, Williamson finished ninth, Thomas finished 47th, Alexis Martin finished 50th, Jones finished 62nd and Adrianna Letros finished 72nd. In the 400 meters, Amari Onque-Shabazz finished 15th, while Madison Martinez finished 14th in the 800 meters. In the mile, Anna Helweigh finished sixth, while Brynne Summer finished 10th. In the 4×400-meter relay, the Villanovan team finished 15th with Martin, Martinez, Onque-Shabazz and Letros. In the triple jump, Gloria Donou finished 18th, while Katie Ciccarone finished 22nd. Emily Galvin finished 32nd in the weight throw. In the Invitational Sections Lydia Olivere finished the mile in ninth place. The women finished 17th on Saturday as well, with a score of 10 points also. 

Next on schedule for both the men’s and women’s teams is the Villanova Invitational in Staten Island, N. Y. taking place on Feb. 1.
