On Friday, Feb. 28, Villanova men’s lacrosse (1-2) fell to Lehigh, 10-7, at Villanova Stadium.
Redshirt sophomore attacker Colin Michener led Villanova with a goal and an assist.
Two of the opening three games have seen the Wildcats take on nationally ranked opponents. Villanova fell to No.12 Penn State, 15-5, after a late-game collapse in the season opener, but beat No. 9 Yale, 13-11, one week later.
The matchup against Lehigh had 15 penalties, and both teams shot a combined 41 shots on goal.

The Wildcats scored the opening three goals to take an early lead.
Lehigh began to come back late in the first quarter, tying the game in the opening minute of the second quarter.
The remainder of the second quarter was tightly contested, but the Wildcats regained the lead and went into halftime up, 6-5.
In the third quarter, the Mountain Hawks scored three goals while Villanova scored zero.
Lehigh entered the fourth quarter with an 8-6 lead and Villanova’s scoring drought continued.
The Mountain Hawks scored two additional goals to take a 10-6 lead with 8:52 to play.
Sophomore midfielder Quinten Cepiel scored the game’s final goal, four minutes later.
Up next for the Wildcats is a Tuesday afternoon matchup with Drexel (4 p.m., Villanova Stadium).
