In gearing up for the new academic year, the Student Government Association has announced several planned projects.

Over the summer, several improvements were made and, “There is definitely more to come,” according to SGA President Maureen Holland.

For example, two new DVD players were purchased to incorporate into the SGA Movie Channel. They will improve sound and picture quality.

Also, the SGA webpage has been enhanced with numerous new features added including the Villanovan of the Week, Webmail login, SGTV listings, the weather and an event calendar.

Holland said, “This event calendar is the most important new feature of the website since there never was a central event calendar available to students before.”

She added, “The website is a really good tool for students because it has everything they need to access in one convenient place.”

SGA has a “multitude of new projects” for the year, which Holland is “very excited” about. She said, “I am so excited for the new year. We have such a great team, and everyone is so dedicated. We have a lot of ambitious goals, and I think we’ll reach them all because we have a lot of talented people.”
