Philadelphia, PA-SPEC Concerts is pleased to announce the line-up for this year’s Spring Fling Concert on April 11, 2003, which will take place in historic Franklin Field on the University of Pennsylvania campus. Busta Rhymes, the extraordinarily popular and unique hip-hop artist, will headline the show. The Donnas, Jurassic 5, and OK Go are slated as supporting acts. Ticket information will be released the week of March 17, 2003.

Franklin Field, built in 1895, is located at 33rd and Spruce Streets. In order to maintain the intimate atmosphere that has traditionally been associated with the Spring Fling Concert, the stage will be placed in the east end zone facing the eastern stands.

Busta Rhymes is among the most accomplished artists in the world of mainstream hip-hop. His lyrical style and distinctive delivery have made him one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary music. He currently has two singles appearing on the Billboard Top Twenty Hot Rap Tracks chart.

The Donnas, a popular hard-rock group from New York City, are touring as part of the College Television Network Music Binge Tour 2003. The four women have enjoyed recent success with their hit single, “Take it Off,” which currently resides on the Billboard Top Twenty Modern Rock Chart.

Originally huge in the world of underground hip-hop, Jurassic 5 has been gaining mainstream notoriety. The group released their sophomore album “Power in Numbers” in 2002 as the critically acclaimed follow up to their 2000 smash “Quality Control”.

OK Go, a successful act on the Chicago rock scene, is joining the Donnas on the College Television Network Music Binge Tour 2003. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2002, is gaining national popularity.

SPEC Concerts is excited not only to be making this unprecedented move to Franklin Field, but also to be welcoming such a talented and diverse group of artists.
