On Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 8 P.M., The Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus presents “Making Our Own Kind of Music” at the Trinity Center for Urban Life, 2212 Spruce St. in Philadelphia.

The first half will feature works by Randall Thompson, including his “Testament of Freedom”, whose lyrics come from Thomas Jefferson’s writings, composed in 1943 for the 200th anniversary of his birth. The second half will consist entirely of popular works of the 1960’s, including songs like Aquarius, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and Love Potion Number Nine.

Tickets are $15, and are available from PGMC, Afterwords Bookstore (218 S. 12th Street), Giovanni’s Room (12th & Pine Streets) or at the door. Seniors 65+ and full-time students with ID may purchase tickets at the door for $10.
