One night in Laramie, Wyo., gay college student Matthew Shepard was robbed, beaten and left to die by two young men in an apparent anti-gay hate crime. The Laramie Project is a compilation of actual interviews combined with court transcipts arranged in a theatrical format. Issues explored include Shepard himself, religion, homosexuality and ideologies on both sides of the political spectrum.
