When I graduated from Villanova in 1955, the speaker was Senator Styles Bridges, NH, Rep.; very long and very, very boring. At my son’s 1992 Villanova graduation, the speaker was a member of the Board of trustees; 45 minutes into his speech, when he declared,”And now for my fith and final point”, the graduates rose and gave a standing ovation. I would think and hope that Mr. Spinney will be more considerate and appropriate to the celebration.Congatulations to all the Class of 2004!Jim Shallow, 1955
