The scene at the Oreo was very different from last year. Instead of a close election that resulted in a run-off between John Von Euw/Dave Pedra and Ryan Bendinelli/Diane Ditzel, students voted John Von Euw and Dave Pedra back into office as SGA president and vice president with an astounding 62.4 percent of the vote (1,494 out of 2,393 votes).
Kyle Audi/Geoff Doody finished in second place with 14.2 percent (339 votes), J.C. Stellakis/Amanda Chuda finished in third place with 13 percent (312 votes) and Sharika Anderson/Michael Hallman finished in fourth place (10.4 percent).
The election of the incumbents marks only the second time in SGA’s 81-year history that a presidential ticket has been voted to office for two years.
In next Thursday’s issue of The Villanovan, we will sit down with Von Euw and Pedra to hear reflections, reactions and goals for next year.
